All DH suggests is matching holiday sweaters. GAH!
We are doing two photo shoots - one in a studio, and one outdoors. I am thinking about this outfit for LO for the outdoors shoot:
Help suggest something for me and DH. DH is skinny; I am not. We are definitely a more casual family - so jeans are fine.
For the studio picture, I guess we could dress up a little more.
What are you all wearing for your family pictures?
Re: Help me find outfits for our holiday photos
That is a cute outfit. If only they had them in bigger sizes (as my MIL says every time our LOs wear the footed fleece pjs)....
I would think jeans or khakis and brown or red sweater for you and DH (one of each color maybe so not too matchy-matchy). You or DH could bring a toned-down pattern into your sweater to add a little fun. I usually have LOs in the fun outfits and we were solids so you can see more of the fun in their personalities.
Are you doing these sessions on different days with different photographers? I usually do inside and outside, but on the same day and same photographer, so we don't have to dress up 2x and so I don't have to bribe DH more than once to be in the pictures.
We did our holiday pictures early, in Sept, so we were in totally different types of outfits and colors. Now i just have to design the holiday cards to match the green grass and pinks and blues in the pictures.
Good luck.
thanks for posting this link! my mom wants to do a big family photo with my grandparents and my grandma keeps pushing back on the idea of coordinating clothes. This will really help show her that we don't all have to match exactly, but complementary colors look so nice.
Baby - red sweater and grey pants
Me - navy sweater and khaki pants
DH - blue button-down shirt and black pants
I think we coordinated well, and my intent of having M stand out in the photos with his red sweater worked perfectly.
