We do. Christmas eve dinner at my dad's side, Late Eve at his parents. Christmas morning w/ each other, then to my moms, then to my aunts for christmas lunch, and his aunts for christmas dinner. Then home to sleep cause I am most likely drunk and full!!!!!
Our families come to our house for Thanksgiving and Xmas Eve. On Xmas we have breakfast with his, then hit mine for dinner (1pm). We are usually home by like 3pm on Xmas. So far it works pretty good.
luckily dh's fam isn't big on holidays.. we sched a get together beforehand.. then spend chr eve day together alone, chr eve night with my dad, and chr day with dear mommy. then there are loads of other fam get togethers all throughout dec.
This is always what DH and I fight about over the holidays because we live really close to both parents (5 miles and 11 miles away) and there is usually extended family in on both sides.
We have avoided making a decision this year so far. More then likely we'll go to both parents house for both Christmas and Thanksgiving, so frustrating. My mom invited his family over for Thanksgiving, but MIL is allergic to cats so that was out.

One family gets thanksgiving, on family gets christmas. We alternate which family gets which each year. We never split holidays b/c its to stressful on us and you can't enjoy one family if your rushing off to see the other.

We usually alternate, but this year we're spending Thansgiving & Christmas with DH's family. We wanted to save the money that we would have spent on plane tickets (probably around $1,000 at least!)

We travel to see DHs family (4 hour flight away) right after Thanksgiving, usually. Although we'll actually be there for Thanksgiving this year. We really like going between holidays though. Everything still feels really festive and we can celebrate exclusively with his family. Any other way is too hectic for us. We flew out to see his family on Christmas day once, and that was terrible.

Luckily my mom's side decided years ago that we do Thanksgiving the sunday before the real thanksgiving to give people more time. Then on thanksgiving day we go to my dads side, then we go to the DH's family in the afternoon.
Christmas eve we go to my moms side in the evening. Christmas morning we do our thing, go to my sisters, then we go to my dads side at 11 and then off to the DH's at 4.
DH's parents wanted us to alternate holidays even though they live in the same city as my parents. DH and I put a big stop on that one! We just try to split our time between both sides, but we stay at my parents so MIL still doesn't think she gets enough time with us. This year DH's parents will be in AZ so I am hoping we will have a stress free holiday season!
Do you visit both families for all the holidays? It's complicated - my parents are snowbirds so we don't see them for winter holidays, however, we see them for the summer one. DH works a lot of holidays so if he's off we do an early T-giving at our house (me, DH, and my sister) and then head over to his side. Luckily(oops) he's working this year so after we eat he'll have to go to work and my sister and I will watch movies. He's off X-mas so we'll have dinner and open presents at our house x-mas eve and then head to his side on x-mas day.

Usually we split them between both sides. Christmas is in-laws on Eve and my parents on day (in afternoon, morning is for our family)...so that works out nicely. This year in-laws are out of town for Thanksgiving, so we only have one location...yippee!! Love it.

Since our families live 500 miles away from each other (and in different countries), we definitely don't visit both at the same time. For Christmas, we alternate years. Because we don't live near either family, we don't see them for other holidays (Thanksgiving/Easter, etc).
Re: How do you split holidays?
We split the day between both families.
My mom and brother join DH's family for Thanksgiving.
Christmas Eve is spent with DH's family. Early Christmas morning we fly out and spend Christmas day (and a couple more days) with my family.

My parents only live 10 mins away. So usually we just all get together as one big family!:)
