Cake pop question

What is the consistency supposed to be inside? Dense, mushy, dry? I just ate my first home made one (not made by me) and it was really mushy. It tasted great so I, of course, ate the whole damn thing and then wondered if it wasn't cooked enough. ::shrugs::

    mushy is fine.  

    The filling of a cake pop is cooked cake and frosting mixed together.

     If anything, it sounds like there may have been a little too much frosting in it.

    That Starbucks cake pop I had completely ruined me on cake pops. In fact, I see the words "cake pop" and it makes me want to vom.
