Last night was LO's first night in his crib. I know, i know...its late for him, but we had a hard time letting him go ![]()
He did HORRIBLE. He usually sleeps through the night in his bassinet. He was up every 2 hours in the crib. He is swaddled in a woombie, and would shimmy his way over to the bars of the crib and then cry bc his head was pressed up against them...
I knwo it was only the first night, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to make LO sleep better in there? I feel bad that he was so miserable.
Re: Crib Transitioning
yes. i'm going to try the towels....that will prevent him from moving, which is prob why he woke up in the first place.
i had a regular bumper, which i removed, so i have no bumper right now. but the towels should prevent him from reaching the bumpers.
i cant put the bassinet in the crib bc its all one peice on legs..that probably works if you have a basket kind, im assuming. thanks for the advice, ladies!
Thanks for the advice - I just put LO in her crib for the first time last night also and it was horrible. So are the naps today. With DD#1, I had her in the crib MUCH earlier and I wished I had done it with DD#2 - same thing as you, couldn't let go sice she is my baby and the last one - time for me to get over that NOW or else the next 20 years or so are going to be real rough. LOL
I will definitely try the towels - makes sense to help them feel a little more closed in like in the bassinet.
