Postive then Negative?

Hi ladies!

I am 14 DPO, so this morning I took a first response pregnancy test and it was POSITIVE!! :) But then.......I took a Clearblue test and it said , "NOT PREGNANT" What does this mean? And which one should I believe at this point?  I am supposed to get my period on Wednesday, so I guess I will know for sure then.  Just wondering if this happened to anyone and what happened next.

    The digital tests tend to be less sensitive. And you get better results with first morning urine. It sounds to me like congratulations are in order!

    If you tested first with a blue dye test, try again in the morning with a pink dye. The blue ones tend to give a lot of false positives. 

    However, I hope that's not the case!! Definitely try again with a digital and your FMU

     I used the pink dye ones.  I was thinking about waiting til I missed my period to take another digital one.  I always heard you can get false negatives, but not a false positive, so I am hopeful its the real deal!! I wanted to tell my husband in a fun way, but I was so shocked and wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing things!! Lol.  he said, "Yep, looks like a line to me!"  haha.  I will keep you guys posted!  Thanks for the advice!

    Test again tomorrow! You probably peed a lot of the HCG out in the first test, hence the negative second test. I'll lay even $ you're pg. GL!

    Tested again this morning with a First Response and it was the same as the other 2, positive!! (but this time it was actually not as dark, but dark enough!) I am still going to hold off with the digital until I miss my period, if that does happen. haha.

    So my next question is, when do I call the doctor?

    Don't read too much into the darkness of the line. That varies based on how much dye is in each test, and that can vary.

    Call your dr now! Tell them you got multiple + pg tests and you want to make an appt. Don't be surprised if they don't want to see you until ~8 weeks.

    Call you family doctor and tell them, ask if you can come in and have a blood test done-they are never wrong from my understanding :)
