NBR: advice tree for bride and groom to be

in April 2012 Moms

for a co-workers shower, we're creating a money/advice tree.  Along with money, we want to hang ribbons of paper with words of advice for a happy marriage from branches. 

 Do you have any words of advice for a bride and groom to be?

  • Never go to bed angry
  • remember the little things
  • Make sure every day you say "I love you"

    Sometimes I'll wake up and kind of upset over the dream and my DH is like "what?" I didn't do anything wrong lol

    Haha, I do this too!  It can take me a day to get over a dream where DH does something "bad". I just tease him like I'm mad though, not truly mad.

    Fight in the present and don't call each other names.

    In case this is unclear, don't bring up something DH did three months ago in a fight you're having right now.  It's a cheap shot and it's unfair.

    I had a dream last night that DH left me and I lost my job lol....

    Say "I love you" before you leave each other, even for the day--you never know what will happen.

    Sometimes we're upset with our DH's and how they aren't doing what we want/need.  Soemtimes you need to look at yourself because your really upset with your own faults.
