best mom ever.

my husband was out of town last night and my mom had me and the 3 year old over for dinner and to spend the night. she took care of everything for me. served dinner, gave LO a bath and then when we were going to go to bed she massaged my back with lotion so i could just relax and drift off to sleep. she had my daughter sleep in her room so i wouldn't have to wake up early. i can't remember the last time i got to sleep so soundly. mom's are the best!!

    Awesome! My DH is OOT right now and my mom had us over for dinner tonight, and said we can come over everynight so that I don't have to cook just for us. She's in the middle of redoing their guestroom and offered to work on it so we could stay over if we didn't want to be home alone.

    We have such good mommies :)

    Sounds like something my momma would do. I feel so bad when I read the posts about unsupportive/crazy/absent moms because I would be lost w/o mine. She was in L&D with my 1st and hopefully will be there this time around as well!

    Aw, that makes me jealous.  I was hoping that my mom would want to be involved in my pregnancy, but she honestly doesn't even seemed phased.  This is her first grandchild, so it's pretty disappointing.  What a great mom you have!

    Must be a weekend for good moms - Mine went with me to an event I was going to have to sit at for like 4 hours so DS could have some fun just to keep me company.  She fussed over me and made sure I was comfortable.  It was a nice day!  That backrub sounds great though! How nice for you!

    This post makes me miss my mom.  I haven't seen her in almost 2 years (she lives 2000 miles away), and she will be flying in this week to be here for the birth of LO!

    I'm glad there are others on the board to have awesome moms too!

    I hope I can be as good of a mommy to LO as mine has been to me!

    Yes mom's are awesome :D  This sounds like something my mom would do as well.  I feel very blessed to have such amazing parents and in laws who are so supportive and ecstatic about their first grand child.  It's nice to hear other people say great things about their families and be very appreciative for their generosity.

    She sounds awesome :) I love my mom too. When I got stones a couple of weeks ago, she drove 40 minutes to my house in the middle of the night to sit up with me, then drove me into the hospital to get rehydrated so my DH could sleep and not be a walking zombie at work.
