Pants for baby boys

I have a bunch of cute onesies but almost no pants.  I have a couple from carters - they have a couple of colors out right now, but I was wondering where else I could buy some basic cotton pants (ideally not in a set) in different color solids or basic prints....  Any recos?  Thanks.

Re: Pants for baby boys

  • I have a bunch of Carter's as well.  I also have a lot of clothes left from my first son.  I liked Old Navy's baby clothes, but found they ran small.  By the time DS was close to one, I stopped buying him clothes from there because everything, but especially shirts, were so short.

I visited the Gymboree outlet over the summer and bought a few pairs of pants and a sweatshirt.

  • I actually recommend the sets from Carter's - it's the only way to get pants with the built in feet.  They don't sell them seperately at all, and baby socks are a joke!

  • Baby Gap and Hanna Andersson make nice soft pants for baby.  And as they get older, Baby Gap has really nice athletic style pants (gray or navy with the white stripe down the sides of the legs).  My DS wears cute jeans or khakis when we go out, but lives in those athletic pants on a daily basis.

  • We got the seperates from carters (I've only found them at the outlets) they have cotton sweatpants and cotton hoodies that we love.

  • The majority of our comfy pants come from BabyGap. Khakis from BabyGap or Ralph Lauren and jeans are BabyGap, True Religion & Joes. I also have a bunch of Nike/Adidas jogging outfits for daycare - super cute, comfy and wash up fantastic.

  • I buy the majority of DS's pants from BabyGap and Children's Place.

  • We got ours at Carter's.

There are more sizes and colors online than there are in store.

Oh, and don't buy into the chenille socks. They seem all soft and cozy but they slip right off baby feet. Get basic cotton socks and look for good elastic at the top.

  • Thanks ladies!  Lots of good leads here for me to investigate today!
  • DS has some nice cotton pants from Kohl's Jumping Bean line

  • I see a whole bunch of shirt and bottom separates at Target. They've got great prices!
