What do you use for a toy box?

We need one badly.  I am looking for all options.  Either something that is actually a toy box or even something that is just used as one.  Thanks for sharing~!

  • We just use one of those clear, plastic storage boxes with a lid :) he loves it cause he can tip it over and we love it cause it s light and we can put it anywhere

  • My grandpa made me a toy box that is also a book shelf when I was little.  We use that for all of DS toys and books and I love it

  • We have this one... https://www.littletikes.com/kids-toys/americana-sort-store-toy-chest (sorry no clicky).

I LOVE it.  I love that it's plastic with round edges (easy to keep clean and no sharp edges), the lid comes off so a child can't get stuck inside or slam their fingers, and I love love love the little cubby trays underneath for books/small toys.  They come in a few other colors too, I think :)

  • We have this turned on it's side w/ colorful bins in the playroom:

And upstairs in the livingroom we have a white Circo toybox from Target.

  • We bought some wicker baskets from Garden Ridge and they are on the book shelves in the living room on bottom shelves. That way LO can pull them off the shelf and get her toys out. In her room we have the same wicker basket but bigger. I am about to redo her room though so I am not sure what we will end up with

i love it, but i have to say that i've also caught our little dude pulling the bins partially out to climb. it's probably a risk with anything with bins.

  • I got 2 huge cloth baskets. They're great. I got them at target. And they were cheap too.

  • We have a 50 gal rubbermaid tote with a cover. We got it at Lowes for about $10. It's not fancy but it does the job and I can easily put it in the garage when guests are coming over and I don't want a big plastic container in my living room.

  • We use a round ottoman that matches our living room furniture. I love that I can hide all of her toys in it and not feel that I need to stash it away when company comes over!

  • We have this square basket(Target Smith & Hawken line) in his bedroom and the round one in our family room, however, he's quickly outgrowing both.

  • We have a toy box. A wood one from toys or babies r us... Not all of LO's stuff fits, but at least it keeps the living room sorta clean. The play room.. that's just a world of mess, wouldn't even try "a toy box" because he has so much and big stuff.
