Hi October mommas, I guess I'm a September momma now
I went to L&D onTuesday late at night and had my cerclage out and dialated to a 3 right away but after 12 hours I only progressed to about a 4 so they sent me home. Well, within a couple of hours I new that I had to have progressed farther because my contractions were so painful they had almost brought tears to my eyes. The dr told me to come back and see. I was relieved when I got there and found out that I was dialated to a 6 1/2 aand 90%. I continued to progress quickly and ordered an epi asap, hey by the time I got it I was just over 7 I was happy that I made it that far without it but I was in a lot of pain. The epi was no problem, I was Totally numb from the waist down but it made me feel a little itchy. My water broke when the dr came into check me and it was a ton of fluid, I was at a 9. Soon I made it to a 10 and started pushing, I had to push for 2 hrs, I did have to get an episiotomy which is pretty sore but not too bad. I'm Sooo in love I can't even fall asleep because I just want to stare at him. He is the most amazing little man. Going by my original EDD he was born at 36 weeks and 3 days, September 29th 3:14am and he had no issues, even got a 9 on his Apgars. Good thing he came when he did, if he was there until40 wks he would've been a 10 lber, My growth ultrasounds were spot on! Here he is Nolan Thomas, 8lbs 21" and a full head of hair.
