Stuffy nose but no boogs or snot..

Just wondering if any of your LOs have what sounds like a stuffy nose but there is nothing to be sucked out. I had noticed this when she would over eat and projectile vomit, but she has not vomited in about 2 weeks, just little spit ups that stay in her mouth. Just wondering what it could be. She has no other sick symptoms. I did take her on a 30 min stroller ride around the neighborhood yesterday.. Could it be allergies?

My DD does! My doctor said that it's normal for them to sound stuffy....mine has for a while now and she's fine. It's funny though, I have two pugs and they sound like that all the time too. So it's a contest between her and the dogs sometimes, who's breathing is loudest. lol

Yup my LO sounds stuffy most of the time. He's not sick and there are no boogers so I figure I'll bring it up at the pedi appointment on Monday.

Yup, us too! I notice it is most prominent at night.

Our pediatrician told us that it was normal for them to sound congested, but if it continued after he was a month old it could be a sign of reflux. If it doesn't clear up, maybe ask your pedi about it?

Just asked the pediatrician this on Thursday. She said it is normal and to use the saline drops and the nasal aspirator daily. She also said it is especially prominent in C-section babies(which mine is) because in a vaginal birth the baby gets the fluid squeezed from their lungs and sinuses in the birth canal.

My girl is a c section baby too! Ok well now I feel a little better. I will ask my pedi at her appointment on the 10th (shot appointment yikes!) Thanks girls!!

Sometimes my guy sounds congested and I can't see the source - but then he sneezes up a nice giant booger and the sound goes away. So gross!

that's interesting to know. My DD is a c-section baby too & she sounds horribly congested (especially at night), but no snot, no boogers, and she isn't exhibiting any signs of having a cold.

We are also experiencing this. I talked to the pedi about it on Thursday. She said that new babies don't have the ability to clear their throats so that is why they sometimes choke/sneeze it up. It is especially bad at night because it settles. She recommended the same things mentioned above..elevation, nasal aspirator and saline drops as well as the humidifier.

I am glad to know it isn't just us dealing with this!
