Getting cold feet about baby girl name! Please help.

My c-section is scheduled for Oct. 11th, so not much time left. For some reason, I'm starting to doubt the name we chose, which is Natalie Paige. I think Natalie is pretty much set in stone, although I've been really warming up to the idea of using Claire as a first name (which was DH's original suggestion, but now likes Natalie much more). I guess what I'm looking for is middle name ideas. We have tossed around using either Claire of Paige as a middle name. I love Claire, but am hearing "eclair" when saying the full name together, Natalie Claire. Hope that makes sense!! We don't really have any family names to use. Most have been used or they sound terrible with our incredibly long and hard to pronounce last name. My middle name is Michelle, but I don't really care for how Natalie Michelle sounds.

Any ideas? We are looking to use a 1 syllable middle name.

I think Natalie Claire is beautiful! I prefer it over Natalie Paige. I didn't hear the whole eclair thing until you said it, and even once I did hear it it's not horrible.

I really like Natalie Paige. One of my girlfriends named her daughter Natalie Rose - very pretty but Rose is an extremely popular middle name.

We have Natalie Grace picked out for our girl name. I keep hearing people say Grace is over done....so are most mn.

I like both Paige and Claire as middles, and I love Natalie!

I wouldn't worry about the "eclaire" thing at all.

If you want to consider others:

Natalie Anne

Natalie Mae

Exactly my thoughts. I feel like the -ie on Natalie and "Claire" are distinct and didn't make the "eclair" connection until you mentioned it. Also, the emphasis on "eclair" is on the "e," whereas when you put "Natalie Claire" together, it's on the "Claire." You're basically trying to compare Natalie Claire (where italics show the emphasis) with Natalie Claire. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I have a good friend named Natalie Claire! I love it... we would call her Nat Claire or very rarely Eclair, but I think only my sister and I ever called her that, and even then not in public. Her other nn was Nata-little-atta-lee if that tells you the extent of our dumb nn habits.

One of my twins is Natalie, so I love the name :-) Her middle name is Belle (which is my husband's grandmonther's middle name.) I think Natalie Paige is lovely!
