Ear infection treatment

My ear started bothering me today and my Doctor is not in.  I believe a have an outer ear infection (like swimmers ear) as I get them regularly and it feels similar.  Anyone know of a natural treatment for this?  Just hoping... so I can avoid urgent care this evening as I have a sick DS and martial arts classes to run a child to.

    I've heard of breast milk down the ear.  Never tried it - don't know if it's an option for you...

    I wish... DS is adopted... I had donor milk for a few months...but sadly no.  And I don't think one of the BFing moms at daycare would appreciate me asking for some extra.  Stick out tongue But I have heard that too, thanks !!

    I used to get swimmers ear alot when I swam in hs. I think my mom used to drip a little vinegar in my ear. I might be mixed up though. You want something that dries it out and kills the germs which vinegar should do.

    googling vinegar and swimmers ear looks like its a common home remedy, can dilute with water or rubbing alcohol but the alcohol can burn and hurt more.

    When I was a kid at camp they counselors would squirt a mix of vinegar and rubbing alcohol in our ears after swimming. It always worked really well.
