This might be a completely stupid question, but...

can you ovulate before beta HCG gets down to 0? (or <5) My beta last week was 33, and this week 21. But, I swear I'm getting tons of EWCM. I'm so confused...

    I am not sure about the levels, but my doctor did tell me I could ovulate before I got my first period.  Hope that helps!

    I've heard of this happening and THOUGHT it happened to me but it sort of didn't.

    If you look at my chart, I think I did O. On the day I think I O'd, my HCG level was '3', which is technically negative. But my HCG level 5 days earlier was '11' and my body was (I think) still gearing up to O anyway.

    ETA: So I didn't O while my HCG was "positive" but my body was getting ready for it anyway.

    I had a period and two weeks later my HCG was still 8. I would say yes.
