CD Mommas: ? about 2 in CD

Did you keep (or do you plan on keeping) a seperate stash for each child? We currently use the BG 3.0 and I plan on getting more of those I think, so I am not sure, once they fit in the same dipes, do you just throw everything together and whichever ones you fold up little go to the baby and whichever ones you fold up bigger go to the older child?

Why do I overthink this stuff...

    I think we will be putting them all together and just do big loads, and whichever ones are set to the small size, we'll stuff with a nb insert and the big ones will get the regular insert. I have 29 BG's (some 3.0 and some 4.0) so I think I'll get a few more. DD1 will be 27 months when DD2 comes, so I'm not sure how many diapers she will actually be using though.

    We had to use disposables for the first month or so with DD1 because she was too small for the smallest size on the BG, so we plan on doing that again with DD2. Other than that, the baby will be diapered for free, I love love LOVE that! :-)

    Wow, I think 29 dipes would be heaven. I went bare minimum with my stash, to try it out, and the velcro is definitely showing it...

    I loved using prefolds and covers with DS when he was small.  If we have another when DS is still in diapers then I'd probably continue with BG pockets for him and use the prefolds/covers until LO#2 fit into one-size diapers.  Then just larger loads and all get washed together.

    I only had 2 in diapers for a few months last time, this time I know it will be longer!

    We have a newborn prefold/cover set so Paul wore those until he outgrew them (which was quick, he was born at 10lb & they only go up to 15lb). Then I did keep some diapers set big & some set small. I washed them all together, and since my stash was essentially cut in half because 2 were using it I did laundry every 1.5 days or so. Thankfully Charlie was daytrained when Paul was around 3 months so I only had to worry about his nighttime diapers after that.

    This time around I think we'll be doing it similar, but I am going to buy a few more OS diapers to kind of extend my stash a bit

    Do you hang dry them? I found that GREATLY lengthens the life of the Velcro. I use a multi garment skirt hanger and hang one off each clip. It holds 8 that way, total space saver!
