Our GD baby is here

Just wanted to give you newly diagnosed and soon to be due mothers encouragement. Managing your GD carefully is worth it. I've been on insulin pretty much since my diagnosis. Evaline Adelle was born today at 7lbs 2oz with 1 hour of pushing. Even with careful attention to diet and insulin, her blood sugar was very low normal at birth (41). She's doing great, since she is nursing. She is healthy, and she got a 9/9 on her APGAR score. We did all 14 hours natural! It was awful and great at the same time.

Hang in there GD moms. It will all be worth the frustration and tears when you hold your LO.
