Short version: I have an un-medicated reflux-y baby. He's perfectly fine after feeding as long as I hold him upright in my lap for at least a half an hour. If not, there goes lunch (and part of breakfast, too...) But, after the lap-time period, he's hungry again... So, I never really get to put him down until bed-time. The Q: How do you play with a 1.5 month old if he's stuck to your lap? He likes to try and stand up in my lap, likes watching colorful nature shows, likes knee bouncing, and generally enjoys staring off into space while drooling. But tummy time is the bane of our existence, and normally requires much soothing and laundry doing. How do I add some play-time variety?
Re: Playtime variety for fuss-butt
I'd start sticking him in other upright position activities.
The swing, the bouncer, even propped up on a boppy. There's a lot more to do and see that way.
