Wondering if I should get a double stroller or not? DS will be almost 3 when LO #2 arrives. Will he really be in the stroller that much longer, or could I just wear #2 in a carrier and keep DS inthe stroller until he outgrows it? I currently have the BOB and LOVe it...but the double is around $670...and I don't want to spend the money if I only get a few months out of it! Thoughts? TIA!

I love these two beautiful children!
I had the same question! DD will be 3y1w when new baby is born. I was considering on of thos little "step stool w/ wheels" thins that you hook onto your single stroller (on the back legs, below the handle). the older kiddo can stand on it and it rolls right along wirth the stroller. I definately won't be buying a double, but like a PP said, it'd be nice for my older child to have a place to ride if we are at a fair..etc. Even if it's standing up, it's a break from walking.
Anyone have one of those? Like it?
I wouldn't get one. Like you said, the baby would prefer to be worn than ride in a stroller anyway. Even my 7 month old loves to be worn in the beco butterfly. We have an uppababy vista with the rumble seat that attaches, but haven't used the rumble seat in a few months.
We're going to the zoo next week so we'll see if he needs the stroller or not, but I don't plan on taking the extra seat.
I used the heck out of our sit & stand for a good couple of years. My oldest was 2.5 when DD#2 was born- around 3 when we really started using it (I mostly wore my youngest at first so I could have both hands free). I got mine off of Craigslist super cheap- it was a Joovy Caboose. The only 'complaint' I have about it was that it was kind of heavy, but certainly manageable. I've heard that Joovy has an ultralight model as well though. My oldest loved sitting in her special seat. It also had a strap on it that could be used if necessary.

I am planning to use the carrier and our BOB. DS will be 3 1/2 when DC#2 is born and he is already pretty much done with the stroller. I did look into the boards that attach for the toddler to stand on, but my DS is nearly at the weight limit for those now, so by next spring it would be useless.
Our bike trailer converts into a stroller and we have a wagon, if both need to ride.
