Dale - yay or nay?

My grandpa Dale passed away this year and I thought it might be nice to honor him if we have a boy. You certainly don't hear the name a lot these days, which I like. On the other hand, is it too outdated you think for a first name and maybe better suited for a MN?

I do think it's outdated but I would absolutely use it as a MN.

I really don't think a name can be outdated.. it doesn't expire

I like the name Dale

Like you say it's not used much these days which is a bonus in my books

Well I am 100% biased on that name. It's my Dad's name and he's a complete a-hole. In fact every "Dale" I have ever met has been a little "off"

Happy to hear your Grandpa is a great "Dale" and worthy of honoring though Smile

I'd probably use it as a middle name if that was the case.

I respect the whole naming after loved one... But Dale is NMS. I've heard WAY worse. There was one dale in high school... He was good at golf. That's my only thoughts. Oh, and I personally consider i tas a MN.
