I caught my first baby He's nameless but he's hear and gorgeous!
{{{UPDATE}}}
Since someone asked: It was amazing. It was my first catch. This is my bestie. She's caught both of my babies. She labored very strangely - not the textbook progression. Contrax all over the place, spacing and ramping very sporatically. Her blood pressure was on the verge of transfer the whole time. It is really hard to work with friends because the supervising midwife said, "If it was anyone else, I wouldn't be sitting here." There was a time limit on how long we would stay. Laboring mama knew it (she's midwife too). She started pushing without letting anyone know it. She was on the toilet and kept putting cloth diapers in front of her so no one could see she was pushing. Finally she screamed, "I NEED OFF OF HERE! HE'S COMING!" she ran back to the bed, laid on her back and was the most calm, collected and serene person I've ever seen push. She was chatting up everyone, telling jokes and stories. She pushed 3 times and he was out. No tears and VERY clean! It was just unlike 99% of births!
He is perfect! 7lb5oz, 19inches, just a small button of love. Perfect nurser right away.
Mom's blood pressure is still high - its concerning. We are monitoring hour by hour. She may have to go in for meds or call in for orals if she's a candidate Happy he was born where she wanted him to be.
He's still nameless! LOL
They are so happy - this has been a long journey for her. 4 losses (3 later term), 4 years of IF. Blessings abound!
