Do raisins help with constipation?

DD has been having hard poops lately and I'm trying to help her naturally before turning to Miralax.  She's not crying or anything about her BMs but I'm just noticing that they're hard.  Anyway, she's a HUGE dairy fan but not so much a fruit or veggie girl.  She does like raisins though.  Will they help at all?

  • Maybe she will eat prunes which would be even better.

I wonder if raisins are like corn... raisin in, raisin out

  • There are other very toddler-friendly dried fruits that are high in fiber -- dried raspberries, dates, figs, prunes.

Also watch for whether she's getting too much white flour. Things like white pasta, crackers, etc. I'm kind of insane about whole grain everything and tons of fruit and veg and both my kids are champion poopers. Stick out tongue

  • Oh boy do they.
