Extreme Couponing Marathon

This show has got me hooked now. I let my sister know I was watching it and she fed my addiction to the show by sending me coupons to get free Dr. Pepper, free lunchmeat, and free cases of water......Geeked If it wasn't raining I'd probably go shopping to get them all.

    I need to remember to record this.  I am never around when it's on.  I am so intrigued but I haven't seen even one episode.  I sort of want to be an extreme couponer - is that crazy?  My friend at work & I are always talking about coupons & the guys always make fun of us.

    This show absolutely blows my mind. It also irritates me to death to! Some of these women have stock piles that are taking up their whole house!! I'm all for extreme couponing, but they really should donate what they don't need. its not necessary for them to hoard it all. There are too many people in need.

    We watched the show last year and started couponing in May.  Our grocery bill has been cut in half.  I do feel like I'm always "shopping" to get the best deals but it has been awesome.  I don't do as good as the people on the show (its definitely rigged) but I am usually somewhere around 50% savings.

    I am a couponer too. The show is definitely "Reality TV" in that it is not completely real. Most of those people say that the trip they are doing on the show is the biggest haul they've ever done. They also don't show all of the transactions the couponers did before the big one to get catalinas and lower the total. I think they also get a lot of "free" items even if they don't need them just to raise the grand total (think 60+ bottles of mustard).

    DH and I watched this last night. It was insane! I wish I had the patience to sit there and clip so many coupons. Although, I don't think I could ever be into it like those ladies, but it made for an interesting show to watch.

    I use to do some AMAZING coupon clipping last February-June.  I would not pay more than .50 for any single item...groceries, toiletries, lots of things.  There is a lady in my area that has a website that stacks coupons with the sales and such and I had her do a coupon party at my house.  However, we got really sick because for the first time in our lives we were eating mostly packaged items.  I stopped, donated my semi stockpile to the local shelter by me and went vegan.  Our grocery bill for two people for every meal home made each week is now no more than $50.

     Me three!!!  I coupon now and have a massive binder.  I have literally saved thousands.  looove it!!
