s/o what do you judge others for?

It's Friday, we might as well spice up the board.

So, what do you judge others for? Parenting or non-parenting, whatever floats your boat.

  • Smoking around their kids or people smoking while pregnant, makes me want to punch them in the face Angry

  • Letting their 3 year old drink Mt. Dew! Come on people! Does your LO need caffine and sugar?
  • People not controlling their kid(s), aka LACK of discipine. DRIVES ME CRAZY!!

  • I judge anyone who attempts to give me parenting advice while blatantly ignoring their own child doing something dangerous/stupid. Like lecturing me about my fruit smoothie while ignoring your child as he sticks the pointy end of a fork up their nose. Right, because you are the ideal candidate to lecture me about child rearing. That is a true story btw.

This and people who use bad language in front of their kids.

  • People who are too passive aggressive to advocate for their own kids. If you want something done, speak up and do it. Don't b*tch about it later.

Kid raising is not a sideline sport.

That said, people who are way too uptight. Just becuase Grandma does it different than you doesn't make it wrong either. If your kid is not in immediate harm you will all be fine.

Common sense people! So I guess I judge people who lack it.

  • This is later, but parents who say their son/daughter is their BFF.

They have friends, they need a PARENT.  Become friends when they are an adult.  Be their parent when they need it!

Amen! I love my mom but she is not my bff. At 30 she's still my mom...lol. I have no doubt in my mind that if I talked back to her now she'd still backhand me. ;)

  • The things they post of facebook. I have seen it all from someone posting about just getting their nipples pierced(didn't include pictures thank gawd!) to posting a picture of their kids fallen off umbilical cord, ew!

My aunt was her kids' BFF. They partied together, drank and took drugs together. Both of my cousins had a child of their own before they ever graduated from high school. One of them will say now that they really wished that they'd had a MOTHER! The other one is too busy being her own kid's BFF to realize how screwed up she is.

  • Mothers who try to push their parenting style on others, i. e. vaccinations, attachment parenting, feeding... I know my child and family and I will decide how to parent. Your "research" means diddly to me.

  • I totally just judged my neighbor when he told me that he was a great-great-great grandfather. His 16 year-old g-g granddaughter just had a little boy.

He's a super nice guys, but seriously, you usually only see those sorts of numbers in a family of field mice.

  • I second the FB post -- why do people put so much of their business out there?  It bothers me the most when they post nasty things about their significant other, parent, child, etc.  Those words can't just be taken back when you blast them to everyone you know!

  • I've come to realize I'm very judgmental... I tend to judge about everything (though usually just in my head). I judge anyone who doesn't vaccinate without REALLY good reason. I judge people who leave their pets outside unattended, or who don't speuter (unless the dog is a working/ show dog). I judge people who live where I live (NE Ohio) but root for the Steelers because the hometown team isn't good. I'm just a regular Judgy McJudgerson.

  • Definetly smoking in front of their kids, for sure. Cursing in front of their kids is just tacky and I feel sad for them.

The worst of all is formula feeding..... and I do so myself. I've always been a big supporter even though I wasn't a mom yet, always supported my friends to try it, knew it was best. Just knew for sure I would make it work one way or another... and then I had IF and ended up adopting (best thing ever happened to me) and I formula feed her... so all those times of not being able to understand why people don't, I didn't even consider that maybe they couldn't or it just wasn't for them. I still catch myself doing it, hard habit to break but I'm totally trying to get over it.

This. It really irritates me when people are smoking in their car with kids in the backseat. Even if you crack the window the kids are still being exposed. I HATE it.

  • I used to work at a daycare, and I saw every kind of parent there is. One little boy had the worst "bottle rot" you can imagine! I pinned her as an idiot instantly!
