Progress report....and a question.

So I saw the doc today, had my first internal. I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow.

My mucus plug is gone, I am 100% effaced, not dilated at all. Now, that's not as much progress as I was hoping for, but it sounds pretty good.

So I have been taking EPO up til now and being 100% sounds to me like it's working. Of course there is no telling if I would have the same result without it. Now...does it make since to continue with EPO? Since it usually just does the effacement?

Any other ideas on how to keep things going the right way? I am still walking the dog 8km a day, even though that takes a bit longer daily, I have been trying to be as active as possible, DH and I have been doing it and I am drinking RRL tea. Aside from that, there is not much I can do, right? I mean aside from horse riding or off roading ;-).

Anyways, just thought I share and ask - and take the opportunity to wish everybody here speedy labours, great recoveries and most of all healthy, happy babies (which ideally sleep and nurse like champions!). And all of those who already had their little ones: Congrats!!!!

Re: Progress report....and a question.

  • Sounds like you are doing all the things you can to "prepare" for labor!  I think it comes down to things not going forward until baby is ready.  But, all the things you are doing are definitely helping, and will help your labor/delivery be more productive, too.
