Doppler ?

So, it is totally normal to still not be able to find the baby's hb at 10 weeks on the doppler, right? It doesn't mean that there is something wrong, right? I am so nervous because I still can't find baby's hb on my doppler and I know it is still early and I have absolutely nothing to indicate that anything might be wrong, but I am still anxious. Should I be worried or am I just crazy and need to put the doppler down for a bit?

Put the doppler down.  It is still early for finding the hb on the doppler.  Yes, some find it that early, BUT some don't and it doesn't mean things aren't ok.

Put it down.  I was able to find Gabe around 10.5 weeks, but it was never for long, very hit or miss and very faint.  There was no consistency until after 12-13 weeks, when my uterus was finally rising out of the pelvic cavity, and I could angle the doppler to a point where he couldn't swim away.

I totally get the anxiety - I was lamenting to Dh that 8 weeks is a rough time, because we've had one good u/s and plenty of symptoms and such, but not yet at a point where we can try to hear the h/b.

Just leave it for a couple of days and then try again.  Some people just don't hear it until after 12 weeks (or more), depending on where baby is located in the uterus.  They are tiny little buggers at this point and the uterus is still tucked away, meaning your angle for searching isn't great.

Definitely early!  I was able to find it once, maybe twice at around 10 weeks and it gave me such anxiety when I couldn't find it so I vowed to put it away for one week and try again.  It was slightly easier at 11 weeks, but inconsistent until around 12.5- 13w.

Put down the doppler. My OB even had a hard time finding it at 12 weeks. I know it's hard, but put it away for at least a couple of days before trying again.

((hugs)) hon!  It is completely normal I think up until 16w to have a hard time finding the hb consistently or at all.  You will find it soon!  Wait a couple days and try again, but don't let it stress you out.
