I had an early M/C last week and saw my Dr yesterday. I was glad that I saw this doctor rather than the other one that I hate, but found out that I have some strange cyst that they do not even know for sure what it is (and therefore did not really say what it all meant). Dr put me on higher level of thyroid meds, which will be tested in 2 weeks and said that her really thinks that my low progesterone levels did not have anything to do with my M/C. I am not 100% convinced, but I am really trying.
So, in the mean time we have to wait to have another ultrasound in 2 months and cannot start trying until after that -- if he then says that it is ok. He did talk about trying to put me on clomid at that point if we want to.
I was pretty okay with it yesterday other than being annoyed that it is going to throw our timing totally off. I am sad today.![]()
Re: GRRR Dr Appt after M/C
Ideally if you are TTC, your TSH should be below 2.00 (according to my OB and endo). If your levels are higher than that, they will increase your dosage of medication. I have hypothroidism and they kept increasing my medication and my levels are now .92.
Hypothyroid is a condition in which the thyroid gland does not make enough thyroid hormone. Therefore, your brain is triggered to make more TSH, which prompts the thyroid gland to make more hormone. When you are put on meds, they give you a synthetic hormone that mimics what your thyroid should be producing, therefore bringing your TSH levels down.
Gosh, that is kind of hard to explain! I hope that makes sense. You can PM me if you have questions.
