I got to see my baby! (PIP)

We had our first ultrasound yesterday, paired up with the NT scan. The tech said that judging by the growth, my due date based on last period is spot on! 

My husband got to be there for this appointment and he was pretty much in awe of that little person. He kept laughing when the tech would press on my belly, trying to get the baby to shift and all the baby would do was arch its back and flail out its arms. When that made me laugh, I mentioned to him that laughing sounds really funny on the doppler and the tech picked up on the fact that my H hadn't heard the heartbeat yet, reached up, flipped a switch and there it was! It was awesome. 

Baby looked all good based on the u/s and we'll hear back more on the bloodwork later, of course.

I love that in one of the ultrasound photos the baby looks like it's waving. I think it might be sucking its thumb though.

    It does look highlighted. Did you copy and paste from somewhere? It's ok though.

    First thing I thought when I saw this was: Oh baby is waving!!

    So cute and so happy that your H is happy and got to hear the heartbeat. These kinds of posts always make me smile!

    Yay! That is awesome, glad your DH got to be there... its a special moment when you first hear your babys heart beating.

    I did copy/paste. For reasons that escape me, the bump will only let me post pictures if I do that first and I had already typed out all the text, so I moved it to a word doc and started over so I could add the picture. Just strange that it didn't highlight all of it.
