FYI: The high risk board has a ton of posts about diet for GD. When I was on it 2 or so years ago for PIH, I noticed how knowledgeable and helpful those girls are.
I usually bring leftovers that I made for dinner the night before. If I don't have anymore I will have peanut butter on whole wheat bread with a yogurt or some fruit.

I will usually eat a turkey sandwich with lite wheat bread and cheese, or a can of spaghetti o's (with meatballs) with cheese, or a peanut butter sandwich. It all depends how many carbs you are allowed to have for lunch. I am allowed up to 3 servings of carbs. Just make sure to balance your carbs with protein (which is why I will have cheese on my sandwich or with my spaghetti o's). My body absolutely LOVES peanut butter. My numbers are always really good whenever I have peanut butter. The spaghetti o's are just something I've been craving, but probably not the healthiest. I only eat 3/4 of the can because the carb count isn't the best.
I was a wreck when I first started the GD diet because I didn't want to eat anything that would hurt my baby. Now it's not difficult at all. Feel free to PM me if you need any help

Thank you. I am allowed 30 g carbs at breakfast and 70 at lunch. Unfortunately, I ate exactly to the plan at breakfast and my blood sugar level was still 177 an hour after. Now, I'm worried.

For breakfast, I have the same thing every morning because it keeps my numbers in line. I eat a peanut butter sandwich on lite wheat bread and 1 cup of coffee with cream and sweetener. My numbers never go above 100.

That is the same thing that happened to me at breakfast. I ate 30 grams and no matter what I ate it would shoot up in the 170's. I am just really insulin resistant in the morning and don't tolerate carbs well early. I take insulin with breakfast now. I hope you can get yours under control without doing that. It is frustrating when you do what they tell you and it still goes up. Good luck!
