pretty sure i've decided on day care

thank god! it has been the most stressful choice of the whole pregnancy for me and it will make me feel a whole lot better to hand in a deposit and have a commitment.

it was hard to find home centers that could say that they would have room so even though a larger center is more expensive we were pretty sure that is what we would go with. we went back and forth about doing one close to home or close to my office (45 minute commute) but ultimately decided on the YMCA center close to my work. It turns out that 6 or 7 people on my campus use them and have great things to say. I also am excited to be able to go over at lunch time to nurse, it will help me stick out breastfeeding longer i think.

now i just have to worry about delivery!

    That's great! I toured the North Suburban YMCA's daycare center in Woburn and really liked it but ultimatly decided on another center. However my best friends child goes there and a few of her cousins children and they have nothing but good things to say about it :)

    That's great!  I know it can be a lot of stress.  Unfortunately my current home daycare can't take this baby until May 2012 full time.  She can take them Thursday/Friday but not the rest of the week.  So I'm somewhat stressed out about this but am not even going to look into other home daycare options until I'm out on leave because no one is going to take a part-time baby on a temporary basis right now anyway since they'd rather have a full time regular baby who will be there for a longer time period.  Worst case scenario we'll spend more to put them into a center for a few months.

    i work in Beverly so we will be at the North Shore center. it's great to hear that the whole YMCA system in MA is good though!

    that's great!

    we picked our daycare center too and just mailed in the registration fee to hold our spot - I am so relieved to have that done and I'm really happy with the center we chose.
