what were you doing before your water break?

I was wandering what makes the water to break.  with my three babies my water never break while at home.  that could be pregress for me though if my water will break now.  will exercise  do the magic.  once my water break labour progresses for me.Wink

    Seems to be pretty random.  Mine broke while I was in bed.

    Mine started trickling after I got out of the shower (i guess it could have started in the shower).  I had gotten out of bed 15 minutes earlier.

    From what  I have read most happen in bed or they are not a huge gush like when it is broken in the hospital.

    I was in early labor, had been up 3am-8:30am timing contractions and they were about 4min apart. I had one huge, extra painful contraction and I had the gushing water break. (I was dilated to 5 when we got to the hospital an hour later).

    I was taking a nap on the couch when my mom called on the phone.  I rolled over to get the phone and that's when my water broke.

    I'll also add that my water broke around 5pm, got to the hospital around 7:30 and i was 7cm dilated.

    With DD, "our" Christmas song came on the radio and my husband and I had just started dancing to it--he spun me around, I heard a "pop," felt water gush out, and ran to the bathroom.  He wondered what he had done wrong :)

    With DD 1 I was sleeping. DD 2 has not made her grand entrance yet.

    For my 1st I was laying in bed watching TV and heard a "popping" sound. But it was weird because I could almost feel it as well. It didn't hurt or anything like that though. I made a bee line for the toliet and sat down in the nick of time because I had a huuuuuuuuge gush of fluid come out. I put on a pad and it just kept coming in gushes it was crazy! When they did my examination I had my feet up in stir ups and it was just pouring out of me like Niagra Falls lol. The nurse was so funny she said, "Wellll it looks like you won' t be going home tonight!"
