Does anyone know if getting sick affects glucose levels?  My after breakfast reading was really out of whack today, but I also woke up this morning with chills and a sore throat.

    Absolutely!  Lack of sleep, illness, and stress can all raise blood sugar levels.

    Thanks.  Now I feel a little bit better about my higher than normal readings.  Guess I should make a note of illness when I send my glucose readings to the diabetes management center next week.
