7 days

I woke up this morning with the startling realization that I will be a mom in 7 days. I am so excited to meet the little human that's been growing & moving inside me all this time, but I'm also completely terrified.

So much is going to change. I'm so hopeful and nervous and thrilled. I can't wait to see DH holding our baby. I can't wait to smell the baby's little face. I can't wait to feel our baby's skin against mine.

God I hope my motherly instincts are good.

Aw, congratulations!

Motherly instincts are basically a sure thing. They don't always kick in right away, but they do for sure within the first few days/week or so. I wouldn't worry about it.
