So I wake up to loud noises, thinking the cat has knocked something down I go check.
Nope, he's playing with a mouse. Luckily in my groggy state with un-glass-ed or contact-ed eyes, I recognized that it's far to life-like to be one of his toys.
Not too proud of running into the bedroom shouting my H's name like a little school girl . . but he did take care of the mouse. I'm normally not squemish about those things, heck when i was little I tried to doctor a roden my grandma cat had killed-- so we're blame this on the pregnancy and not wanting to expose baby to anything right. I guess this just supports our decesion to have H do the litter and not me. . . since apparently our indoor cat is exposed to wild creatures!
Re: Eek! My (indoor only) cat caught a mouse.
Icky! Last year when we were on the road my 13 year old cat caught a mouse in the RV. First mouse she'd ever caught in her life! I was a proud momma, but I let my guy throw it away for us.
Keep up the good work, kitty!
Thank goodness you saw the mouse. A few years back, I heard my cat playing in the kitchen, which was dark. Since it was a teeny kitchen, she never played there, so I thought she was up to no good. It was dark and I immediately picked her up. I felt something bite me and realized that the cat's mouth was nowhere near where I was bitten...I had been bitten by the mouse in my cat's mouth!
Of course I dropped the cat and the mouse...I had to drive the immediacare to get a late night tetanus shot. It was somewhat embarrassing explaining what had happened!
