Trying to Get Pregnant

Debbie Downer DH

We been TTC for 10 months now! My DH is convinced it WILL NEVER happen bc everyone that he knows gets KU on the 1st try! So he continues to say it's never going to happen when he knows it bothers me!!!!!!!!!!!!

ughh so frustrating... Are there any others that can relate?

Re: Debbie Downer DH

  • I can relate.  It's reversed here though.  DH is more positive and laid back about this process than I am.  I am really trying to stay positive but it's hard.

  • I can't really relate because actually I'm actually more of a debbie downer than my husband, who has an exceptionally positive attitude. I'm sorry your H is acting that way. FWIW, most people don't get KU on the first try. I think most people just don't openly talk about how long it took them to conceive.

  • I totally agree with you! That's what I say to MY DH all the time but he thinks its just us!
  • I highly doubt that so many people get KU on the first cycle. They just generally don't say how long they have been trying, or they say it was a "if it happens, it happens" thing, which makes everyone feel like it happened right away. Also, my SIL used to always say "that cycle didn't count as trying because we didn't have sex on CD14." Ho boy.
