DD is about 2.5yo. We've been trying the potty thing on and off, here and there.
If we get up first thing in the morning and take her to the potty, she'll go. And sometimes after her bath she'll go, although not always.
We've tried different things like: pull-ups, thick cotton undies, and regular undies. She goes to the bathroom in all of them.
Since then we've tried just letting her go without a diaper. It's worked (kind of), but she begs us to put a diaper on her.
I'm under the impression that if she's old enough to ask for a diaper, then she's old enough to use the potty. How do I get her "excited" about using the potty?
We've been doing the sticker chart thing, but it seems as though it's lost it's appeal to her. We praise her incessantly, even call her grandparents so they can praise her.
I'm at a loss... I don't want to push anything on her if she's not ready, but I know she can do it.
Advice?
FWIW, we work long 12 hour days, so the days that DH & I are at work our parents watch her. I admit that it's hard to make sure they're doing the things we've asked them to do as far as her potty schedule goes...
