Pregnant after a Loss

I am about to become the most annoying driver ever.

I don't know why having the baby in my belly hasn't already made me overly cautious, but it hasn't. I guess she still feels like a part of me that is safe and secure in there.

Today I stuck the carseat in the base just to see if it fit and I decided to drive around with it for a little while. Someone on here wisely recommended not to because if you get in an accident then you can't use the seat. So the entire time I'm driving I'm obsessed with the seat and not getting into an accident. I kept looking back at it and getting really annoyed at other drivers-like the woman in an SUV behind me who was reading at the wheel, I was sure she was going to rear-end me.I cannot imagine how cautious I'll be when my baby is actually in that seat. Tongue Tied

That's too funny. I don't drive because I'm paranoid due to my narcolepsy, but I have a feeling it's going to be verrrry difficult not to nag David constantly when he's driving.

    I can't believe she's almost here, I can't wait to meet Winter. :)

Ugh that must be so hard to deal with. I am sure I will start being a really bad passenger when DH drives. Hopefully he will be as cautious as I would be but he loves driving fast.

I can't believe it either. I just cannot wrap my head around it at all.

I have to admit, I selfishly kind of freaked out a little bit when I realized how close you and Junebug both were...you are two of the ladies I totally look up to, and seeing you about to graduate is so awesome but makes me panic a little. I'm not ready to be at the front of the line yet! :)

Aw, I know I am freaked out that she just HAD A BABY! Her EDD's always been a few days ahead of mine so I kind of related to where she was with things and to think she is done is super weird to me!

  • Meh, I was overly cautious for like, two weeks, after she came home. Then my southern CA upbringing, lead foot, and impatience got the better of me.

Now I'm back to driving like normal. Nothing crazy, but if the speed limit says 65, I take that to be a liberal guesstimation. And god help the fvcknut who is going 60 in the fast lane in front of me.

Ah you truly are from SoCal Wink 65 is just a guideline, I find 75/80 to be more appropriate on the freeway. I am glad to know the grandmotherly driving tendencies will fade.

    How is Corinne these days?

Thanks for asking Smile She is doing well! Crazy that she's over 4 months old. I think the whole time-slowing-down phenonmenon while PG gets reversed once the baby is here, then time speeds up.

Like right now- I look at your ticker and can't believe you're FULL TERM already! squuueeee- how exciting!

I can't believe she's 4 months, that's crazy!! So glad she is doing good, she is so cute!!!!

I am also shocked that I'm full term, it's surreal. I still can't fathom that I'll actually have a baby in my arms in less than a month. Crazy!
