Hi Everyone
I am new here. Normally post on my local Northern Ca Bump Board. We started TTC with my current cycle. i am now in that dreaded, LONG 2WW ![]()
I have one son, he is 4 1/2 years old, i forgot how long and nerve wrecking these two weeks can be!
I am wondering if any of you have used the First Response test that says it can give results 6 days before you expected NMP? Anyone have any experience or luck with these? If you tested early which HPT did you use?
thanks ladies ![]()
Re: First Respnose Test "6 days earlier"
Make a pregnancy ticker
Hi! I tested using First Response 6 days before my expected period (Know when I ovulated due to charting BBT) and I got the faintest postive. It was so faint I wasnt sure I could trust it, and DH didnt see it at first glance, but then said "maybe". I tested the next day using FR and got a true positive.
I do agree with "wait until you miss your period", because after I had gotten a postive at 9DPO, I was soo so worried that AF would come anyway. I guess whether we are stressing about 2WW or stressing about getting a positive and then getting AF...its still stress....
Best of luck!

I bought those a while back. I was really excited to be able to test early... until I read the information that came with the tests. Apparently, only about 65% of women will actually have a high enough HCG level 6 days before the missed period to actually test positive, even if they are actually pregnant. A high enough number that they can say "Woohoo! Early results!", but not enough to be reliable.
It's better to just distract yourself and wait it out.
Agree with PPs... Just because it "can" detect HCG 6 days before your missed period, does not mean that it will detect it for everyone. HTH

I've always used them. Usually get a BFP around 13 dpo (my LP is 14 days.) I have had issues with evap lines all of a sudden so if you see a very faint line make sure it's pink and not gray! You may want to keep some other tests or a digital on hand to confirm (although the digitals are usually not as sensitive so don't test too early with those.)

? PGAL/PAL Welcome ?
I hate them, because they give evaps. The old FRER NEVER gave evaps. And they are $$$ as hell.
I bought Wondfos this month, after spending $100 in tests with my last IUI cycle and having evaps on every test.
