Childbirth classes

I'm so excited! We start ours tonight! I thought it was a bit early (will be 30 weeks Friday) but the instructor told me it was just fine to start it now and if baby comes early I'll be glad to have already taken a good part of the class. It lasts 6 weeks. Now I'm questioning the breastfeeding basics class that I'm signed up for in my 37th week... maybe I should take it a bit earlier?

Who else is taking a class and what week are you beginning it?

We're doing our 1 day birthing class this saturday. Our bf & baby care class is in November, but those are also just one day classes.

We started ours really early, tomorrow night is our last class (it was 12 weeks long).

we are doing a 5 week course plus a breastfeeding class after that. the course begins on 10/12 when i will be 31 weeks. the problem is the hospital did some poor planning and planned the breast feeding course for the same night as the last meeting of the 5 week course!

i am going to work with the instructor to get the info from the final class ahead of time so i can go to the breast feeding course because i feel like i really need it. it will be at 35 weeks and the next available one is at 39 so i don't want to wait!

I got CPR and Infant Care on Oct 4th, BF on Oct 11 and Lamaze on Oct 15 (which is all day) I know I'm early, but I rather have it done while I'm comfortable.

Jealous! I loved our childbirth classes when I took them when I was pregnant with ds. I already knew most of the information they gave us but my husband definetly learned alot. And it was one more thing to get us even more excited about the baby. It was a fun night out for us.

We start childbirth next on Tuesday

It's 5 weeks. We're also taking breastfeeding, Bringing Home Baby, and an infant CPR class. The CPR isn't until the end of Nov, and is our last class.

We had our first of two last weekend. Everyone else was WAY farther along than I, but this was when it worked out for our schedule. otherwise I felt we were leaving it too late and might miss it entirely...

We are taking a 5.5 hour saturday class when I will be 33 weeks.

Our hospital and Dr. want you to take the birthing class anywhere from 20wks-28wks. So we did ours already, it was one full-day.

I thought about the BF class but I don't think I'm going to do it.

We are halfway through a six week class that began when I was 25 weeks. So far it has been a great bonding experience for me and DH. The hospital wanted us done at least a month before my due date.

I'm 28 weeks right now.

We're doing a lamaz class right now, it was a 5 week class and we have 3 more weeks to go.

We're doing another child birth class at our hospital, a shorter one day one November 6th, it's covering hospital policies and stuff so I want to make sure I hear all that and tour the hospital.

We are also taking a one day Infant CPR class and a one day infant care class, both this month.
