Trouble TTC

I just paid $120 to have a period

I am laughing so that I don't cry... insurance isn't paying for anything right now and all I need to do is start a cycle so I can move on to IUI #1.
Sept 2009: off BCP, started charting
Nov - March 2010: no period
April - November 2010: Prometrium then clomid - BFN
April 2011 - Finally moved and settled in new city
June 30, 2011 - Ruptured Ovarian Cyst
August 2011 - Met with RE - Bloodwork, etc = Dx PCOS, 1700mg of Metformin
September 2011 - HSG/SIS - shows tissue in ute = Hysteroscopy
September 2011 - Clomid + trigger + IUI #1 - cycle cancelled at baseline US - cyst on left ovary = 8 weeks of BCP
December 2011 - IUI#1 Re-do- Clomid + 12/19 Trigger + 12/21 = BFN
January 2012 - IUI#2- Clomid + Estrace CD13 + trigger + 1/22 = BFN February 2012 - IUI#3 - Clomid + Estrace - Failed to respond to Clomid found on CD 13 monitoring.
Feb - Being of RE break-up!
March - Being of crunchy phase aka Accupuncture
June - Random Positive HPT!!
Due February 17!

  • Ugh, I am sorry...that is a lot of money!  Is that for Prometrium?  My insurance doesn't cover anything either and I took Provera instead which turned out to be cheaper.
    DX: Anovulation
    TX: IUI #1-4 = BFN + 1 c/p
    IUI #5: Clomid 100mg + Bravelle + Trigger + B2B IUIs + 800mg Progesterone = BFP!

  • You know, I thought about that.  Before we moved and before I saw an RE, my GYN had me take Provera.  I had bad side effects from it, but not miserable... heck the Metformin is worse than that.  And I feel like I remember that GYN saying it was cheaper than Prometrium.  If there is a round 2, I'll check that out instead.  Thanks for mentioning it!
