Faint pos but Neg blood test :(

Here's my Dollar General test from this morning... but my blood test today was negative. Not sure how many DPO but I'm on CD 35, which my history of periods have always been 28 so it's a little odd.

*Just a little clarification/update*

I didn't get a blood test done because of this test. I was already a week late, I think ( I do realize I may have just Oed later ), I called the clinic to see what they thought I should do and they told me to come in for the test. I didn't ask for it. There was a faint line on this test that I could see without squinting, within the time frame, sorry if it didn't show in the pic well.

The clinic has told me to come in for another test at the end of next week if still no AF, if that's still neg then they'll do an exam. This is all per my doc, not anything I requested.

Did they tell you what your levels were?

I'm sorry, I would personally believe the beta over a hpt. Those can be faulty or there can sometimes be user error but hcg levels in the blood don't lie. Good luck though!

That looks like an error line to me, the line is too close to the control.

I see it, but it is super faint. I would believe the beta over the HPT too. I am so sorry that you are going through this!

I see a really skinny little line; those are usually evap lines. Sorry, but I think the blood test is probably right on this one.

Well, I'll tell you I took a blood test and a urine test yesterday. My beta came back as "3" (technically negative) but my pregnancy test actually showed a pink second line within the time frame.

I had a beta of 8 (not pregnant, not not pregnant) but got clear lines on HPTs. I agree with pp, looks like an evap.

A beta of 8 is pregnant. Mine started at 8 my last pregnancy and I was definitely pregnant.

Mine started at 6 at first, anything over 5 is considered pregnant, however a might higher number is more encouraging..many people have started out that low and gone on to birth.

As far as the pic goes, for now it's negative. As other people have said the dollar store tests will pick up pretty much >5. When my number was 6, my dollar store test wasn't even faint, it was visible without pulling it apart or squinting.

Sorry you're going through this, I'd keep testing every few days. I hope you turn out to be KU! GL.

OP, is that the only test you took? Why would you go get a beta on the result of a cheapie without at least confirming with a FRER or digi?? Makes no sense.

This. And, um, I don't even see a second line on the test to begin with...

I didn't see it either, but only I could see the line on my cheapie for my bfp last Spring, so I was giving her the benefit of the doubt! Stick out tongue

I've seen something similar to that and it was an evap line. Did you try a digital? I would believe the blood test tho, I'm sorry

No the test isn't the reason I went in for the blood test. I was over a week late, I think, called the clinic, and they told me to come in for the test.

I just looked at your chart from the check in and it doesn't look like you have ovulated.

To clarify, there were giving me betas every few days in the last 2 weeks to make sure they return to 0/negative, since I had a miscarriage. Thanks.

That's what I what I was hoping, but based on the last thread I read from you (from the beginning of the month I believe), you made it sound like you were TTC again. My mistake.

Based on her chart, she has had sex on the days when she has gotten +OPKs, which makes it seem like she is TTC. And yes, I remember her saying she was going to TTC again right away, too.

That's true, we did have sex on the days I got positive OPKs, which would be "TTC". Not sure what will come of it since I've been spotting from my miscarriage so I have no idea how my lining is.
