Does your 2 year old eat whole fruit?

DS favorite new thing is apples, in particular. I got these cute little Gala apples, and he'll sit there and eat the whole apple. OK, he'll eat it core and all, but I did that when I was a kid and it never hurt me. LOL

He also likes plums, peaches and bananas, and they HAVE to be in one piece.

  • Yep- L tells me he needs to eat it like a man which means whole! So big!

  • we have only tried grapes, slices of watermelon, apples and bananas whole. He loves the grapes, apples, watermelon, but isn't too fond of the bananas (unless there chopped up). He has a thing for his hands being messy though, and the bananas can get slimy...lol.
  • Yes, Sam is always asking if he can "have the whole thing".  He's a sticky mess by the time he's finished, but that's ok!

  • Yes.  Breakfast was an english muffin and an orange.  But apples are his favorite.  He'll walk around with it for 2 hours, working his way through it.  He eats all the skin off first, so there are little bites all around.  It looks nasty, but he loves it.

He also loves bananas, and has to eat them like I would, holding onto the peel as I eat it.

He freaks out if I give him a half, or slice the apple, lately.

  • Ian won't touch fruit in any way shape or form. Once in a great while he will eat some banana.

  • Yep.

If I try to cut it up for him, he gets mad and won't eat it.  Fine with me!
