Trying to Get Pregnant

NTTGPR: What are you reading?

I feel like this has been done recently, but for some reason I can't find it.

I just finished reading all of the books in the Hunger Games series, and I LOVED them.  I always find it difficult to start a new book after I have just read a fantastic one, because I feel like I don't give it as much of a chance to "live up to" what I just read.

So what are you reading?  Or what books have you read that you absolutely loved?

Re: NTTGPR: What are you reading?

  • I am currently reading the last book of the Merry Gentry series.

Recently, I read "Unbroken" which is a true story about Louie Zamperini - a WWII hero.  The description is not one of a book I thought I would ever like or be interested in but it was for my book club so I read it and I have to say, am *so* glad did - it was by far one of the best books I've ever read!  That man's life is/was so fascinating.

  • I am very into chick lit. I am currently reading Bitter is the new Black by Jen Lancaster. It is her first book and it is really funny. Now I have to get all her other books. Stick out tongue

I love authors like Jane Green and Sophie Kinsella.

  • I'm still reading the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. I'm on book number 3. When I finish book 3 I'm going to take a break and read something else, but I haven't decided what yet.
  • Currently reading: "Somewhere Inside: One Sister's Captivity in North Korea and the Other's Fight to Bring Her Home" by Lisa Ling and Laura Ling. Its the account of what happened with the Current journalists that were captured and held prisoner in North Korea in 2009. I'm fascinated by that country, and the book has been very interesting to say the least.

I also recently finished "Escape" by Carolyn Jessop. A personal account of escaping the FLDS cult. I recommend this one!!!

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.  It's hard to get into, but I've been told it takes a while, so I'm sticking with it.

I thought that it was a little slow at the beginning too, but the pace picks up and I really loved it.

I'm currently reading The Book Thief.  Also very good so far.

  • "Sarah's Key" by Tatiana De Rosnay -  good so far. I also just finished " The Shack" by Willaim P. Young, also very good.

Reading Night Circus. I heard it's going to be the next big thing in the book world so pre-ordered it. They are already in talks for making a movie and say it will be as big as Harry Potter & Twilight. It's really good so far.

  • I'm reading The Paris Wife right now- kind of hard for me to get into, but I've been distracted lately.

I've also read The Help, Unbroken (gave that as Christmas presents last year),  The Book Thief, and Sarah's Key.  Hunger Games is sitting on my shelf.

I'd recomment The Kitchen House, and The Forgotten Garden.  Those were 2 of my favorite books, besides The Help, that I read this year.

Aw TY!!  :)   I love the one of your hubby dipping/kissing you.  AFTER my wedding I read a tip somewhere on TK that you are supposed to let your hand fall like yours is to make the best dipping pic (with or w/o flowers) and I so wish I had known that before my wedding!  haha.  :)    Yours looks beautiful!

I have not read the Stephanie Plum series, but I have heard it is good.  I am glad so many people responded to this post!  Now I can start making a list of things to download on my Kindle!
