Was flipping back and forth between Midwife and my OBGYN..

....definitely think I'm going with midwife now (if they have room for me...I'll find out next week).

I called my OBGYN on Monday to cancel a colopscopy that I had Tuesday (she told me to cancel it if I got pregnant).  They asked to see me today (Wednesday).  I couldn't, but told them I would call this week and reschedule.  

Called this morning, they told me someone would call me back in an hour.  5 hours later I called back to find out what was going on and to get an appointment and I'm now told that my Dr won't see me until 18 weeks!

I've heard of some girls not having their first appt until week 12 or 13....but 18 weeks???  Really?

I cried. haha.....ah hormones

    Yeah, I'd definitely be looking for at least a new OB if the midwife can't get you in.

    I guess I'm pretty lucky that my doc's office wanted to see me at 6 weeks for an exam and sono.

    18 weeks seems ridiculously late for a first appointment esp if you wanted genetic testing done earlier.  I don't blame you for going with someone else!

    This!  I can't believe that they would wait to see you until 18 weeks.  That's nuts!

    Uh, yeah that's crazy late. Someone HAD to have gotten their numbers wrong. She definitely HAD to have meant 8, right? Anywho, I'm totally on midwives side anyways =]

    No, they said 18 about 3 times, then booked me for November 30th!

    I can't even go to another OBGYN, no one is accepting patients here...they don't even have waiting lists!  I just switched to her from my old OBGYN (male who was horrible).
