Trying to Get Pregnant

The waiting game...

I'm going crazy waiting for an appropriate time to test.... I can't wait to test, but I think that I will. AF is due on 10/6.

I'm trying to decide how an early negative result will effect me. Prepare me for when AF arrives? Or make me really upset. I know it's best to wait but I'm so anxious. I'm sure you all know how I feel!

This was our first month TTC so I know what the chances are. Some days I'm hopeful and other days I'm sure I'm not. I have nothing to compare it to, so I don't know if I'm seeing any really early symptoms or not.

I will say that I'm been super thirsty which equals lots of bathroom trips and super gassy. (Sorry TMI). My coworker said those were some of her symptoms. But, then again it could be in my head.

Re: The waiting game...

  • I'm pretty sure my PMS symptoms are what most of my friends pregnancy symptoms were, so don't let your mind make trouble for you.

I wouldn't test because it's too early, so it's just flushing money down the drain. GL.

  • Note the accuracy rates for early testing here: https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/42877040.aspx also, if you aren't charting, it will be hard for you to know when you have actually ovulated and therefore should be testing. I would just wait until the day you expect to get your period and then test.

  • I ovulated between the 22nd and the 24th. I know it's early so I'm going to wait. I will still probably try before the missed period though.

  • I had the same feelings on my first cycle and tested too early.  IF I had to do it over again I would have waited.  I'm sure that you have seen others post about phantom symptoms on here- they are very real and when you are TTC your body seems to be able to trick you into believing anything.  Don't waste your money and try to hold out until AF is late.  Good luck!!!

Thanks for this link. It was very helpful. I had not seen that post yet.

  • I know it's hard but you really have to just wait.  If you ovulated on 9/22 - 9/24 you probably haven't even implanted yet if you conceived.

  • Question: Are you charting? The bump trackers are worthless.

  • Don't worry, I'm not going by the bump tracker. I'm monitoring CM. I will give it a few months and then if we aren't I will start full on tracking. I mostly just wanted to vent about my anxiety.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. It's been very helpful.
