9 wks, when will I begin to show?

Hey ladies, I'm just curious as to when I will begin to see a small bump myself and when others will be able to notice? Thanks!

  • Everyone is different. Some women don't show until they are 20-24 weeks, and some women show at 9 weeks. It all depends on how your body grows.

  • Every body is different and every pregnancy is different so you will get a variety of responses to your question but no one will be able to give you an answer.

With my first, I didnt really show until closer to 16 weeks.  I am only a little under 7 weeks this time around and have no signs of showing.

Just know that you will show eventually!

  • It really depends on the woman and how many pregnancies she has had. I showed about week 6.. like whoa! But as my morning sickness got worse and the vomiting hit, I lost weight and now I am back down to not really looking pregnant. However, this is my second pregnancy. Something about body memory.

If this is your first pregnancy, don't expect to show until you are about 12-14 weeks. And even then, it won't be much of a show. Sorry.

  • I wore my normal pants until 18weeks, and I was pregnant with twins. Then I suddenly popped overnight. It varies from person to person.

  • I took pictures each week with my first....you can check it out...didn't really start showing untill around 20 weeks.  Untill then it just looked like I ate too many girl scout cookies.

This. I am still in all pre-pregnancy clothes and they still fit just fine!

  • If its your first baby, it typically takes longer to show. I am sure body type is a huge factor too. I have read that the baby will move up from behind the pelvic bone to the tummy area around week 12-13 so that might be when you might start seeing a difference? Then again, like many women have said, they didnt show until 4th or even 5th month. Its just a waiting game!
  • I dont think I started to show until I was 18-20 weeks.

  • Everyone is different, but I didn't pop until 22 weeks. I was wearing maternity pants around 18- mostly because I was so excited to have them!

  • Everyone carries differently so it can vary a lot.  I didn't start getting a tiny bump until 21 weeks.

  • I still don't have one :( I do feel the stretch in the lower part. I love going to sleep because I am hoping to "pop" in the middle of the night! lol

So funny you mention that! I told DH that I am wearing my mat clothes at 18 weeks regardless. Even know, when I have the shirts on I sort of look like I may be KU :)

  • I had a noticeable firm bump at 11 weeks during my last pregnancy and I have an average BMI.
