I have to take long breaks from book series when I finish them

They consume me. Every spare minute I have is spent reading the book. When I'm not reading, I'm thinking about the characters, like how they're doing right now. Is that weird or what?

I can't read one book of a series and then eventually pick the next one up. I have to have the following book ready to go, and I end up reading the whole set as one long story.

DH doesn't appreciate it much, so once I finish The Hunger Games, I'm going to try and step away from book reading for at least a few weeks...

I am the same way! I haven't found anything good to read that has sucked me in as much as the hunger games since finishing them. I read all three books back to back and would read my Kindle at any chance I got!

I do the same. I'm so caught up in the story that I think about the characters and what might happen next when I'm not reading. I was really upset when I read the last Harry Potter book and there would be no more

I haven't read anything in so long. I honestly can't remember the last book I read. I miss it. I really want to start reading the Harry Potter books. I need to find someone to borrow them from.

Last time I did that was with the Twilight series. Yeah. . . I kept going back into the books hoping for more. Luckily, I haven't don't that in a really long time.

The Hunger Games totally consumed me too. There has been a few books that I've been that way with, but nothing compared to THG. I cried when they were over. And then reread them. Obviously I get way too attached. I'm sure I'll be one of the crazies waiting in line at the movie theater at midnight when it comes out.

I did this with the Outlander series. As much as I read, I somehow managed not to know about this series until two years ago. I finished the last book a couple of months ago. Now I have to wait almost two years for the next one to come out and it's driving me bonkers!

This is me exactly. My mom told me about the first book right after it came out and I rolled my eyes and thought "Yeah, right, that sounds greaaaaaaaat. Not."

Then a bunch of you on here were talking about it and it sounded far different from how mom had described it.

I am the same way about both books and TV. I watched season 1, 2, and 3 of Sons of Anarchy in less than a week, about 2 weeks ago. I am having serious issues with waiting a week at a time to get through 4 since I am all caught up. Issues to the point where I am thinking of starting over with the past seasons this weekend...
