Hi, I'm new to the board, but I've been browsing different topics for awhile now, and I've seen how helpful you all are, so I'm hoping someone can help me, and I apologize if i didn't post on the correct board.
First thing is my cycle is normally 30 days. My last one was on the 1st of the month and was normal. On the 26th I noticed some spotting. It kind of caught me off guard, since I wasn't expecting my cycle to start for another week, but I brushed it off at first thinking that I'm just early this month (it has happened to me before) but its now 3 days later since I've noticed the spotting, and that's all I'm still doing, it hasn't gotten heavier. Could this be implantation bleeding? And I've read that you don't produce hCG till after implantation, so how soon can I take a test?
Thanks in advance for your help! ![]()

The only way to know if it was implantation bleeding is getting a positive test (and it is my understand that IB is rare). Have been you charting with temps or anything like that? It is hard to say when you should test without knowing if you have ovulated, but I would say a day or two after you are expecting to get your period is reasonable. Also, this is helpful:

i would say for a couple months now. i like to get use to a place (the layout of the site and the people in it) before i jump right in on forums.. hope you understand, i'm not trying to come off as a stalker..
no, i'm not charting. my husband and i aren't fully commited to really trying. we both have the attitude of "if it happens, it happens"
and i read that 30% of women have ib (who knows it that's true, since it was on the internet, haha) but i do know that my mother did with both my brother and i, although i don't know if something like that is hereditary or not.
and thanks for answering my question. i'll prolly test in the morning. i just hate to waste a test by using it to early.
