Trying to Get Pregnant

No drugs or IUI this cycle :c( kind of long

Last cycle I wasn't even thinking about a BFP. I just wanted to get onto the next cycle to start fertility drugs and maybe an IUI.

I did my CD3 b/w and HSG last cycle, but right before I ovulated I lost my health insurance for the month and couldn't get 7DPO b/w, but the nurse originally told me I didn't really need that anyway. I still need to get DH SA done, but we are having issues with timing since the lab is only open 7:30a-1p and DH leaves for work at 6a and gets home at 6p.

I was going to have "sexy lunch break" (as suggested by the nurse), but they said even if I got in the sample they still can't do anything until I get my 7DPO b/w. My cycles are usually about 40 days long so that means I am looking at about 2 months before I can start treatments.

I'm just so sad. I started crying on the phone with the nurse and she felt really bad, which made me feel worse. I'm not quite there yet, but I'm about to cry ugly any day now (pure Farrah style).

I just had to get that out. Well thanks for reading. Happy hump day ladies.

  • I'm sorry - delays due to things like insurance and bureaucracy are so especially frustrating.

  • I'm sorry to hear that.  TTGP can be stressful enough, but when you add things that complicate it even more it can be down right annoying.  Is there another lab nearby that could do YH SA.  My husband drove 3 hours to get his done in Kansas City, because that was the best option for us at the time.

  • Thanks everybody, I know we all go through our frustrations of TTC. I'm glad I have you ladies around going through similar issues.

The SA isn't that much of an issue, we can figure out a way to get that done, but I can't figure out a way to get myself to O early enough that I don't have to wait so long for another test and a new cycle.
