I'm still breastfeeding my DD, although less frequently. I haven't seen a sign of getting AF at all. Is this still normal or do most people get their period while still breastfeeding?

Re: No AF & still nursing at a year
That's good to know. I've seen where people have supply issues when they get their period, so I was thinking something was wrong with me.

With DS#1 he was born December 2009 and I breastfed exclusively until he started weaning himself in November 2010. I got my period for the first time in December 2010 and then got pregnant with DS#2 in January 2011.
I didn't have a period the whole time I nursed DS1. I was cutting back sessions in hopes of getting it when he was about 21 months, and I got pg before I got it back. I still haven't gotten one since DS2's birth, and he'll be a year in October.
DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)
I just got mine and I am breastfeeding 5-7x/day which is probably quite a bit by most people's standards at this point so I definitely wasn't expecting anything until the feeding had dropped down more. I think what did it was over the last 2 months dropping from 3 pumping session at work to just 1 and my LO finally starting to eat more food.
I am really happy to see that my body is doing something on its own since before LO I rarely had AF on my own, anovulatory and had to take provera and Clomid to conceive so maybe my body is working now. Will have to chart temps though to know for sure.
