How do they get it all out?
I have a c-section tomorrow, and with DS my water broke about 16 hours before the emergency c, so a lot of my amniotic fluid had already "drained"
So tomorrow I know they will break my water to get the baby out, but um, how does the rest of it get out?
I remember it being a TON with DS. I kept thinking, how is all of that fluid in there? Was there really a baby or just fluid LOL
Re: dumb question- amniotic fluid
They suction it! It's actually way less messy than you'd think.
(I was able to be in on a couple of c-sections in nursing school)
this.
I had so much that my husband said it squirted up initially LOL oops! but high fluid levels were one reason I needed a c/s so I guess the Dr's were prepared for that
